scalable architecture that allows server-side
communications to adapt to the size, distribution and

communications and data processing application called a
Skynax Server. It is capable of supporting thousands of
TCP/IP based communications on a single
server. Using the Enterprise Edition, the number and location of Skynax Servers
which can be implemented in a single Skynax system is practically unlimited.
The Skynax Gateway
application provides, in addition to
security,
also intelligent redirect functionality that allows peak communication processing loads to be distributed across
multiple Skynax Servers, each running on a separate
computer.
This intelligent load-balancing capability coupled with

Many companies support

extensible architecture that allows it to easily acquire
the business specific functionality that is unique to
each company based on the specifics of its mobile

custom "data connectors" called Skynax Server Plug-Ins to
provide application specific data exchange processing.
This special Plug-In
functionality means Skynax supports not only its
standard set of data connectors but more importantly, it
has the built-in flexibility to support any custom
Plug-Ins developed and provided directly by 3rd parties.
Typically, providers of Skynax compliant mobile
applications will also provide together with their
application the Plug-In modules required to process the
mobile application's data and optionally integrate this
data directly into your back-office applications.
The functionality of a
Plug-In module is essentially unlimited. For example, a
Plug-In can be programmed to relay instant messages
between a mobile device and back office application, it
can post captured signatures as proof of delivery to a
web server, it can execute a remote function call to an
ERP application to price an order or it can upload an
XML file with stock transactions to a warehouse system
for further processing.
